We have eight shift paramedics (three of which have bachelor of Science Degrees), Two EMT Intermediates and Four EMT Basics. With all our employees there is about 85 years of combined service with this company. We also have five part time Paramedics and five EMT’s that work with our organization as needed. We have worked very hard in making Liberty County EMS a quality organization for the people we serve as well as the employees. We offer a variety of benefits for our full time employees which are:
Insurance:
We offer medical, vision and dental insurance of which the company pays 100% of the employee’s portion as well as a big portion of the dependents coverage. We also have workers compensation and a private accident policy. AFLAC is also offered at the employee’s expense. We have a $3,000,000.00 liability policy with a $6,000,000.00 aggregate policy.
Retirement:
We offer a 403-b Simple IRA. We will match up to a maximum 3% of the employees pay. However the employee can put more in if they so desire.
Sick Time:
We offer 144 hours per year of sick time for hardship reasons. Unlike vacation time this is strictly based on straight time.
Vacation:
After 1st year three 24 hour shifts
After 3rd year six 24 hour shifts
After 5th year nine 24 hour shifts
After 8th year twelve 24 hour shifts
(Note: Vacation time has overtime calculated in).
Line of Credit:
Each employee receives a $500.00 line of credit that they may orrow from interest free.
Holidays:
We take the same holidays as Liberty County.
